Fontainebleau Forever

Fontainebleau Forever (NIght Pictures). Ongoing photo project capturing anthropomorphic sandstone boulders in the forest of Fontainebleau, France. The pictures are shot on medium format analogue film in the dark following the minutes after sunset. Some of the pictures include the transparent, ghost like image of a climber scaling the boulder.
Fontainebleau is an important archaeological site containing thousands of mesolithic and paleolithic petroglyphs hidden inside and underneath the boulders. The project seeks to capture the ancient traces and atmosphere resonating in the landscape.
