Oslo Negativ October 2023 A photographic group exhibition at the old, now unused veterinary school in Oslo. Fontainebleau Forever (Nattbilder) – Kunstens og buldringens arkeologi Geir Harald Samuelsens pågående fotoprosjekt, med bilder av sandsteinsformasjoner i Fontainebleau utenfor Paris. Bildene er tatt med analogt mellomformatskamera med lang lukkertid i mørket rett etter solnedgang. Noen av bildene viser også en transparent, spøkelsesaktig figur i ferd med å klatre opp steinformasjonene. Arkeologer fra Sorbonne har de siste fem år oppdaget et stort antall steinaldergraveringer (petroglyfer) som er risset inn i sandsteinen i grotter og i ly under de store formasjonene i Fontainebleauskogen. Med dette fotoprosjektet ønsker Samuelsen å fange atmosfæren i det eldgamle kulturlandskapet og la sporene etter menneskelig aktivitet resonnere i bildene. Inkludert i presentasjonen er også ett verk fra serien: Haptiske tegninger (Foldet). Disse relieff-aktige papirarbeidene inneholder spor etter direkte berøring og resonnerer både med fotografienes langsomme visuelle registrering, men også med de gåtefulle tegnene fra steinalderen.
