Geir Harald Samuelsen was raised in Hurum, outside of Oslo and lives and works in Oslo and Bergen. He has had exhibitions in international galleries and museums such as Museum Amos Rex in Helsinki, The Henie Onstad Art Center and Trondheim Art Museum and has received various awards and project fundings including NARP (Norwegian Artistic Research Program) funding for the project: Matter, Gesture and Soul in 2019. Samuelsen is Associate Professor of Visual Art and Research Leader at The Art Academy, Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design, University of Bergen, Norway. He holds an artistic PHD from Trondheim Academy of Fine Arts, NTNU.
